A busy year for AE Evans has seen continued development in its preservative treated timber business with the installation of Auto-Treater, the leading edge treatment plant control and management technology, which has now been retro-fitted to their existing pressure impregnation plant.
Operations Director Malcolm Williams explained, "It has been a busy and exciting year for us all here. Not only have we designed and launched our new web site and successfully exhibited at two major shows, at IOG Saltex at Windsor for the 5th year in succession and then for the first time at GLEE in Birmingham, we have also invested in the state of the art Lonza Auto-Treater plant management system. Auto-Treater now provides precise automatic control over our timber treatment process and gives us valuable and accurate information about each treatment, helping us to make sure our treated timbers have an appropriate and consistent level of protection."
"AE Evans, being one of the leading producers of machine round and peeled fencing, has seen a significant increase in our market share of landscape and play timbers, driven by our reputation of supplying high quality preservative treated timbers. This has recently been enhanced with the introduction of our innovative and effective incised machine round fencing products. Working in conjunction with Lonza and their next generation TANALITH E preservative, Auto-Treater has allowed us to increase our treatment capacity whilst providing even greater accuracy and confidence that our treated timbers destined for Use Class 4 ground contact applications meet the penetration and retention requirements of BS 8417, the preservative industry's code of practice."
Malcolm added, "Our philosophy is always to give our customers the very best we can deliver. Auto-Treater enhances the belief that we can provide real confidence in their and our tomorrows."
